Poetry and Photographic Imagery
Question: Discuss about the Poetry and Photographic Imagery. Answer: Introduction: In this poem, the main characters have the determinations. They keep the hopes even after losing the love of their lives. The imagery of representing love is signified in this poem. In this poem, the poet used the line The love we thought would never stop.. explains that how the main character and his partner were once in love with each other. This love has ended by now and he feels misery after losing his love (Hamilton 2013). Another line Romance, expected once to stay. also highlights the thought of their love that once was existed in their lives. Topic Sentence: The main point of the paragraph is the specific imagery of love. The main characters of the poem are representing the love that they had once and lost afterwards. Explanation: The characters are presenting their unending love, which has lost already. However, they thought that keeping hope would give them their love lives back (Lapum et al. 2015). The never-ending hope for the lost love is specifically illustrated in this poem. Evidence: The kisses that were hot as curry are bird-pecks taken in a hurry reflects their passionate kisses that have lost their spark now. The feet that ran to meet a date are running slow and running late expresses the time that they spent together has lost the meaning now. Link: This links the major theme of the poetry that is Love, hope and passionate determinations (Thwaite 2016). The imagery representing the passionate love that has lost its meaning and the enjoyment has ended. The poet clearly elaborated the imagery by representing the theme of love and loss simultaneously. The poem does not contain any irony, rather focuses on the endless hope of receiving the love back in future. References Frawley, E., 2016. Growth through teaching.English in Australia,51(3), p.58.
